However, we focused our weekly discussions on the blogs. In that way, we centralized each discussion on a single thread, which is easier to read and follow. Regarding the special characteristics of blogs I can mention: Tagging: by tagging or labeling each post it is easier to find related information or connect to other people who are discussing the same topic. Other Social Networking features:through the readers or contributors'profiles you have access to their own blogs, which helps to build a real network. I think the Web 2.0 is mainly about networking and building learning contexts. It's a democratic environment in which knowledge is distributed and we learn better in collaboration. Anyway, having a suite of tools such as a YG, a blog, a wiki, etc., seems to be the best way to cater for the specific needs of a learning community.
